Weekend Outlook

The election, those pesky campaign ads and your Facebook friend’s soapbox statuses are – finally – over. Now turn your attention to everything else November in D.C. has to offer.

– Millions of moustachioed men will be growing their beards this November – or should I say, Movember – not only in an effort to procure manliness points, but to raise awareness for testicular and prostate cancer. A slew of D.C. hotspots will host events this weekend and throughout the month to revel in beard-ly glory and raise funds for cancer research.

– All across D.C. and Virginia, from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to Arlington Cemetery, services will be held in honor of Veterans Day. A number of events are free and open to the public.
