Men’s water polo freshman Bogdan Petkovic is the CWPA Southern Divison Rookie of the Week, the second time this season he’s earned the honor.

Petkovic helped lead the Colonials to a 2-2 overall record and a sixth place finish at the weekend’s CWPA Southern Division championships. Over those games, the freshman tied for a team-high 16 goals, and posted team-bests in assists, with 21 and field blocks, with five. Petkovic also added an assist, two ejections drawn and a penalty drawn.

His freshman season concluded with a single-season program record 96 steals, and ranked third on the team with 45 goals, 24 assists and 69 points. He also tallied a team-high 18 field blocks on the fall’s action, the third-highest single-season total in program history.
