The Hatchet’s annual basketball preview issue’s publication date has been pushed back to Nov. 15.

The shift, prompted by scheduling changes due to Hurricane Sandy, breaks the tradition of publishing the preview before the start of competition. But inclement weather forced the city and University to shut down, postponing media day – where reporters are given access to the men’s and women’s basketball teams and their leaders.

To produce a well-reported issue, our team of editors decided it would be in the best interest of our readers to wait until after the rescheduled media day date of Nov. 8 to publish.
