Developers filed an application to build an upscale bowling alley in Georgetown earlier this week.
The two-story establishment would bring a 100-seat restaurant, 12 bowling alleys, banquet rooms and bocce courts to the near-deserted Shops at Georgetown Park mall at 3222 M St., according to the DCist.
The company, Pinstripes, operates three alley-restaurant venues in Illinois and one in Minnesota, according to the article.
If the Board of Zoning Adjustment approves the plans, the site would be the second public bowling alley in D.C., behind Lucky Strike in Chinatown.
The Marvin Center’s fifth floor was home to a bowling alley, the Hippodrome, but shuttered last year to make way for office space.
