MPD arrests two interns after stabbing

Updated July 22, 2012, 6:39 p.m.

Two male summer residents were arrested and barred from campus Saturday morning after one stabbed the other in a hand with a kitchen knife.

George Brewster, 28, and Alvin Dohozy, 23 – two interns living in Philip Amsterdam Hall – got into a fight at about 5:47 a.m., according to Metropolitan Police Department documents.

One pulled the knife out, giving the other “minor and not life threatening” injuries, according to a statement from the University.

Both individuals were arrested by MPD officers.

Bar notices forbid a person from setting foot on campus, warning offenders that if they are found on GW property again, they will be charged with unlawful entry and arrested.

Brewster is from Florida and Dohozy is from Arizona, according to the documents.
