Mayor Vincent Gray launched a website Wednesday for D.C. residents to submit gripes about city agencies, information that will be tracked to grade the offices on performance and customer service.
Grade.DC.Gov, a platform for feedback, will allow locals to post comments about the agencies on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to identify causes for concern and hand out grades, according to a news release.
Agencies like the District Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Works will serve as pilots for the program.
“We are excited about applying cutting-edge technology from the private sector to the task of ensuring that D.C. residents receive the best customer service possible from their government,” Gray said in the release.
The website comes after Gray announced a free smartphone app in April for residents to air grievances with city operations.
