Thanksgiving is almost here! If you’ll be staying on campus for the holiday, here are some fun ways to kick off the week:

  • Join Jose Andres and Ann Harvey Yonkers of Freshfarm Markets at the William G. McGowan Theater tonight at 7 p.m. for a discussion on sustainable agriculture as part of the America Eats Series. The event is free and may make for an interesting prelude to your Turkey Day feast.
  • The Capitals play the Phoenix Coyotes tonight at the Verizon Center at 7 p.m.. Tickets start at $66.95.
  • DJ Killer Joe Falero takes over the Artisphere in Arilington Tuesday night, providing salsa lessons at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for students, so hop on the Metro and go dancing!

And here’s something controversial:
Paramount released a sample poster advertising the April 2012 release of a 3D version of “Titanic.” Many critics are questioning the turn of a classic towards a new cinematic trend, but Leonardo Dicaprio in 3D sounds pretty good to me.
