Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested Friday a suspect for an assault at TGI Friday’s.

MPD received a call for the incident at 8:49 p.m., officer Hugh Carew said. He said at 11 p.m. that officers arrested a suspect for assault with a dangerous weapon – glass.

A detective also responded to the scene, he said. MPD vehicles were stationed near the Medical Faculty Associates as well as the corner of 21st and I streets.

University spokeswoman Candace Smith did not immediately return a request for comment.
