The A-10 will move its annual men’s basketball tournament to the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2013 ESPN.com is reporting.
This will switch the tournament’s current location at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., the site of the upcoming 2012 championship, to the New Jersey Nets’ home court.
The 2012 will be the sixth consecutive year Atlantic City hosts the A-10 tournament – the longest streak at one site since the championship was held at the Spectrum in Philadelphia from 1997 to 2002.
The A-10 annual media day on Oct. 13 is also in Brooklyn.
ESPN also reported that Barclays may also be considered for Big East or ACC tournaments after 2016 when the Big East’s contract with Madison Square Garden expires.
