This post was written by Hatchet reporter Regina Fong.

Profile on Style is a weekly post that explores the motivations behind GW’s fashion trends. We’ll show you the most interesting aspects of GW style, and then try to make some sense of it all. Keep your eyes open for a reporter and photographer walking around because you might become the latest trendsetter.

Name:Ayda Ahmadi
Year: 2013
Major: Biology
Hometown: Cresskill, N.J.
Influence: The ‘90s
Outfit: Jacket, Nasty Gal; sweater dress, Nasty Gal; leggings, American Apparel; boots, Penny Loves Kenny; earrings, vintage; bag, vintage; rings, Argentina and Iran

One closet item we definitely don’t see enough is the sweater dress. It’s an extremely feminine look that is comfortable, practical for the fall and stylish. The sweater dress is an easy and versatile look, which goes great with leggings or stockings and a pair of boots or even flats. Ayda Ahmadi chooses to go for a more edgy look by pairing her sweater dress with tall combat boots but adds a personal touch by accessorizing with a vintage bag and jewelry.

Name: Hyun Woo Park
Year: 2015
Major: International affairs
Hometown: Seoul, South Korea
Influence: Colors
Outfit: Jacket, Korea; v-neck shirt, Hanes; jeans, Levi’s; shoes, Converse

The leather jacket is not only a must-have item for this fall but it’s a classic look that will never go out of style. What’s great about the jacket is that you don’t need to go over the top with the rest of your outfit. All you need to do is match it with a well-fitted pair of jeans and a white tee and you’re ready to go.
