Five-time presidential candidate Ralph Nader will take part in a discussion with alumna Susan Saladoff on her upcoming film “Hot Coffee” Tuesday afternoon in the Jack Morton Auditorium.
Following a screening of the documentary exploring the current state of the American civil justice system, Nader and Saladoff with participate in a Q&A with GW Law School Associate Dean Alan Morrison.
Nader and Morrison co-founded nonprofit consumer rights advocacy group Public Citizen in 1971 as a way to represent public interests in national government, focusing on Congress, energy, global trade, health research and public litigation.
Saladoff, who graduated from the GW Law School in 1983, spent 25 years representing injured victims of individual and corporate negligence. She put practicing law on hold in 2009 to make her first feature-length film, which is slated for DVD release Nov. 1.
The event begins at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
