Former standout pitcher Pat Lehman has been named to the 2011 roster for the Scottsdale Scorpions, the Washington Nationals-affiliated Arizona Fall League program.
The Scorpions are the reigning champions of the Arizona Fall League, an off-season league owned and operated by Major League Baseball that attracts top minor-league baseball prospects. Each Major League Baseball team sends six top prospects to the Arizona Fall League, comprised of 180 total players.
Lehman most recently pitched for the Harrisburg Senators, the Double-A affiliate of the Nationals, posting a 1-2 overall record and a 4.06 ERA. He was drafted by the Nationals in the 13th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft.
In Lehman’s senior season as a Colonial, he was named the 2009 Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year and was also the A-10 leader in earned-run average (2.40), strikeouts (89) and innings pitched (105). He held opposing hitters to a .235 average and finished the season with seven wins, finishing second in the conference in both categories.
