CADE leaderless after assistant director announces departure

Katie Bean, assistant director at the Center for Alcohol and other Drug Education, will step down next week to assume a similar role at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

“I am very excited to move back home to spend more time with my family although I will miss my GW family very much,” Bean said today in an e-mail to House Staff.

Bean will serve as assistant director of St. Joseph’s Wellness, Alcohol and Drug Education office after leaving GW on Sept. 9.

Bean is currently the ranking official at CADE, which has been without a director since Brian Hamluk left the office in 2008. No announcement has been made about her replacement.
