A lecturer in the Graduate School of Political Management will join a group of political pundits on “The Five” – the show replacing Glenn Beck’s talk hour on Fox News.
“The Five” will launch July 11 in the 5 p.m. time slot and will feature rotating political personalities, including Robert Beckel, who taught a course on advanced political strategy at GSPM for more than 10 years. He also serves as a senior political analyst for Fox News.
Beckel’s broadcast news career includes a 1988 stint as a commentator for ABC News and serving as a Democratic political analyst for CBS. He also co-hosted CNN’s Crossfire Sunday and co-authored a book called “Common Ground,” examining partisanship in the U.S. political arena.
Beckel added that though he will be outnumbered as the only left-leaning commentator, he is used to being singled out and accepts the challenge.
The program’s cycling list of hosts also includes former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino, who taught a class at GSPM last fall, Geraldo Rivera and Juan Williams, according to a Fox News release.
