The Atlantic 10 commissioner named 107 GW student-athletes to the spring 2011 honor roll Thursday, the sixth-most of the 14-member league and an increase from the 92 named to the fall 2010 honor roll.
The A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who have earned a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the semester.
“The academic success of our student-athletes is a tribute, not only to their hard work and commitment to excellence, but to the ongoing emphasis placed upon academics by The George Washington University,” Karen Ercole, GW’s executive director of academic assistance said.
Colonials that made the cut were comprised of 19 seniors, 26 juniors, 26 sophomores and 36 freshman. Women’s rowing had the highest number of athletes named to the list, with 17, followed by women’s soccer, with 15, and volleyball, with 11.
