The overcast conditions seemed to frighten fashionistas inside today, leaving only scattered pedestrians sporting protective puffy coats, leggings and UGGs. A sad day for fashion fans.

Freshman David Gitlin, however, smoothly sailed through the storm with edgy boots, a pale blue tee and thigh-grazing coat with a fur-lined hood.

Gitlin, a Long Island-native, acquired the pieces of his ensemble from Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue and Urban Outfitters. He said he appreciates the military aesthetic at Marc Jacobs and Burberry, particularly their military jackets. Fight on, style soldier!
