We’ve made it through the first week of post-spring break depression. Here are some events around D.C. to pass some time until the warm weather comes:
• Musicians and dancers from nine different Turkic-populated countries will be performing at the Lincoln Center tonight at 7 p.m.
• Tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m., Director Sarah Pickup-Diligenti is hosting a literary salon, which includes an interview with Haitian writer Yanick Lahens. The event is a celebration of Francophone literature held at the Embassy of France as part of the month-long celebration, “La Festival de la Francophonie 2011.” Tickets cost $25 for nonmembers and can be purchased online at www.smithsonianassociates.org.
