Ann Taylor and GW Women in Business hosted a casting call for Ann Taylor’s Spring Lookbook Collection 2011 in Duques Tuesday.

Students came dressed in their best work-wear and recorded a 30-second speech on why they should be modeling for the lookbook.

The applications will be sent to Ann Taylor and Mr. Youth –an advertising company engaged in the college and teen market – who will pick the winning models.

Five winners will be have the chance to receive a complete makeover, be dressed by Ann Taylor’s professional stylists and take part in a photoshoot for the spring collection.

Sophomore Nicole Pozzi, a former Hatchet reporter, and senior Andrea Farnan were on hand as Ann Taylor’s campus ambassadors to help coordinate the event.

“It was great for Ann Taylor because they were looking to brand themselves for the ‘college cool’ to ‘career chic’ line, but it was also good for students because they took a lot away from it—like how to transform an outfit from weekend-wear to work-wear,” Farnan said.
