Several buildings on the Mount Vernon Campus are without power in the midst of a snowstorm due to a blown circuit breaker, according to a Campus Advisory.
The advisory, updated at 10:37 p.m., reports that Somers Hall is still without power, and Pepco hasn’t provided a timeline for restoration of power on the campus.
Other residential buildings have power, according to the advisory.
After 9 p.m., Somers Hall was listed as the only residence hall experiencing outages, however residents of West Hall, Merriweather, Clark and Cole halls have also reported outages.
Eckles Library has also reported a power loss and has not had its generator kick in, an Eckles employee said.
Pelham Commons, the dining hall on the Mount Vernon Campus, remains open.
Power outages have been reported throughout the D.C. area, affecting 192,534 customers.
