The East Atlantic Gymnastics League Gymnast named senior Leslie Delima athletic of the week Tuesday.

The recognition comes on the heels of Delima’s impressive performance Sunday afternoon at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational, where the Colonials placed second overall. Delima also finished second overall in the meet, tying or setting three personal records along the way. She tied her personal best in the All-Around, scoring a 39.175, and on floor exercises, with a score of 9.875 that enabled her to finish as the top competitor on the floor exercises. Additionally, Delima set a new personal best on the vault, with a 9.825, finishing second in vault overall. She also finished second on the balance beam at the meet on Sunday.

Delima’s most recent accomplishment comes as no surprise to those familiar with her collegiate career. She was voted GW team MVP at the conclusion of last season, has yet to miss a meet during her career, and earned First Team All-EAGL honors on the floor exercise and Second Team All-EAGL on All-Around last season.
