Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was admitted to GW Hospital Friday morning to undergo kidney stone surgery, the Associated Press reported.
Treasury Department spokesman Steve Adamske told the AP that Geithner began experiencing pain during the night.
He will undergo a “minor surgical procedure” Friday afternoon and should be back at work Monday.
