The Hatchet’s editorial board suggests ways as to how the University can encourage more students to attend basketball games this season.

Basketball season is just around the corner, and that means that for the next few months the campus experience will include hyper-promoted invitations to men’s and women’s basketball games. And while it’s also been easy to make disregarding those requests an unnoticed habit, this is a habit that needs to change.

Basketball season is an opportunity for the student body to unite around a program that fosters school spirit and provides a much-needed diversion from academics.
