Correction appended
A female allegedly had her laptop snatched from her Friday at about 10:35 p.m., according to an alert sent by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim saw the suspect enter the area where she was sitting with “a confused look,” according to the alert. The suspect approached her and snatched the computer.
The victim attempted to clutch her laptop but was overpowered by the suspect and let go. He fled out the door and into a white Infiniti G35 four-door vehicle, according to the alert.
The car was last seen driving north on 22nd Street N.W.
The alert described the suspect as a black male with black hair, a clean shaven face and a dark complexion. He was wearing blue pants and a black jacket and shirt.

The Hatchet incorrectly reported the crime happened at 21st and G streets. This is incorrect. The alert sent out by the Metropolitan Police Department said the crime happened on in the 2100 block of G Street.
