The spaces for GW students and faculty at President Barack Obama’s town hall meeting Tuesday night were preselected and will not be distributed for the community at large.
The 20 GW tickets for the Democratic National Convention hosted event, either went to first-time student voters or faculty members. The students were chosen from the University’s Guide to Personal Success program and the professors were chosen from the political science department.
Obama will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday night in the Marvin Center Ballroom. The Marvin Center will be shut down from 3 to 9 p.m., and the parking garage will be closed all day. Groups who previously reserved space in the building have been rescheduled or relocated.
J Street will remain open until 4:30 p.m.
