Across the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses, sophomores moving into their residence halls were welcomed by a unique set of neighbors this fall: their professors.
The Washington Post published a story today detailing the steps urban universities are taking to create a community feel. GW has been placing faculty and students together for about 12 years, but the University expanded the practice by building an apartment for professors Melissa Keeley and Christopher Klemek and their children, Abraham and Madeleine in West Hall on the Mount Vernon Campus.
According to the Post, Keeley and Klemek are becoming celebrities on the Vern (probably because they are toting along young children and cooking for hungry students).
