What we’re watching: Hatchet arts movie picks

“Going the Distance” (2010)

I’m not usually a fan of romantic comedies of any sort (the falseness and absurdly convenient endings always annoy me), but, in the case of this movie, I was pleasantly surprised. The relationship of the two characters, Erin (Drew Barrymore) and Garrett (Justin Long), was frustratingly superficial, but the ending was decent and the dialogue was fresh enough to keep me entertained for the whole movie. The soundtrack was good, which is always a plus for me. If you’re in the mood for a light comedy or looking for a good date movie, this is probably the one to see. (R, 1:49)
