After accounting for the entirety of his team’s offense with three goals in GW’s 4-3 loss to Mount St. Mary’s Saturday, men’s soccer sophomore Seth Rudolph was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the week on Monday.
Rudolph also netted a goal in the Colonials’ 4-2 win over Longwood on Sept. 8, giving him four goals for the week. The 2009 A-10 All Rookie Team selection’s four goals so far this season are a team-high for GW, as are his 11 shots and his six shots on goal.
Rudolph and his teammates will face their toughest test of the season tomorrow night when they travel to Durham, N.C. to take on Duke, ranked seventh in Soccer America’s national rankings and eighth by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
