Trunk sales, cocktail parties and fashion advice will be available at two separate events in Georgetown this and next week.

On Sept. 10 students are invited to attend Fashion’s Night Out, an affair new to D.C. that involves 60 neighborhood boutiques, restaurants and salons. Throughout the evening participants can enjoy in-store promotions and extended shopping hours. Additional perks include performances by Cirque Du Soleil and meet and greets with some of the cast from the Real Housewives of D.C.

On Sept. 16 the older than 21 crowd has another chance to do some retail damage at the District Sample Sale charity event. The soiree showcases local designer boutiques that will be selling last fall’s closing for ninety percent off. Attendees will also be offered free hors d ‘overs, hair blowouts and cocktails. General admission is $40 and all proceeds benefit the GW Mammovan, a mobile mammogram station that benefits low-income women in the city. The event takes place at 3336 M Street in Georgetown.
