The highly-hyped Red Hook Lobster Pound Truck will be coming close to campus Monday afternoon, serving up lobster rolls near the World Bank.
Red Hook Lobster launched in D.C. last week, and almost crippled all work Thursday when the line on opening day wrapped around Farragut Square.
The seafood fare isn’t cheap – a lobster roll will set you back $15, $18 if you want the meal – but reviews about the food have been positive so far. The line and wait however, have people complaining.
If you’re worried about freshness, the lobster is imported daily from Maine and topped with a homemade lemon mayo, sea salt, white pepper, lemon juice, and celery. Also on the menu are shrimp rolls, whoopie pies and Cape Cod chips.
Red Hook Lobster will send a message on Twitter to its followers when it is en route to the Foggy Bottom area.
