Burning food on a stove in Ivory Tower elicited a large response from D.C. Fire Sunday night, evacuating the building and shutting down a part of 23rd Street for a short time, according to an announcement posted on D.C. Fire’s Twitter account.
A swath of 23rd Street was shut down between G and F streets at around 9 p.m. Sunday night due to the evacuation.
There were no injuries reported, according to D.C. Fire.
