Update: 4:15 p.m. Saturday
NBC News reported Saturday that Former Vice President Dick Cheney did not have chest pains or a heart attack when he was admitted to the GW Hospital Friday.
It is still unclear why Cheney, 69, was admitted to the hospital, according to NBC.
Original reports say Cheney went to the hospital after he said he felt “uncomfortable,” according to The Washington Post. After seeing his doctors, they ordered Cheney to undergo more testing, and he is expected to stay in the hospital through the weekend, Cheney’s spokesman Peter Long said.
Although NBC reported that Cheney did not have a heart attack Friday, he was admitted to GW Hospital in February after suffering a mild heart attack.
Cheney has been treated at GW Hospital for heart issues since 1978, and even donated $3 million to GW Medical Faculty Associates in 2001 to create a cardiovascular institute.
