A former GW Law School professor was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Idaho’s new U.S. attorney after a unanimous vote Tuesday.
Wendy Olson was nominated by President Barack Obama in March and had the support of all of Idaho’s members of Congress, according to the Idaho Reporter. She will be sworn in Friday.
Olson taught at GW from 1994 to 1997 as an adjunct professor of legal writing, according to the White House’s announcement of her nomination.
Since 1997 Olson has worked in the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Idaho. She was an assistant U.S. attorney until 2006, when she was named senior litigation counsel for the office.
The outgoing U.S. attorney for Idaho is Tom Moss, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush.
