Peter Konwerski, the senior associate vice president and dean of students at GW, welcomes the class of 2014 to GW.

Today is the start of our journey together – yours as a new first year student and mine as the new dean of students. Like you, I am both eager and excited to begin my new role.

After years of striving for academic success in high school, accomplishing numerous personal achievements in your student activities, and contributing extensive efforts to the community, you arrive fully prepared to embark on a new adventure in higher education.

I too have spent time preparing for this day and I am excited to begin working with you to support and help you achieve your goals.
