A female GW employee was allegedly approached and forcibly fondled by a male just after 3 a.m. Saturday, according to a University Crime Alert.
The female employee, who was working at the time of the attack, was on the south side of the 600 block of 22nd Street. She pushed the assailant and left the area after the alleged assault.
The suspect was described by the victim as an “Asian male, medium complexion, 27-28 years old, 5’9″-5’10” tall, weighing 130-140 lbs. with black hair parted down the middle, wearing a blue shirt and tan pants. The suspect was described as having an accent,” according to the Crime Alert.
University spokeswoman Michelle Sherrard said Monday that the case is open but there are no suspects. When asked if cameras from the area would be used, Sherrard said, “GWPD uses a wide variety of tools and methods to assist in investigations including video.”
The 600 block of 22nd Street is near the Smith Center.
