It’s Monday…

Here are some fun events to distract you this week:

  • If you didn’t catch her performance Saturday at Capital Funk’s showcase, senior Elizabeth Acevedo will be presenting her thesis “The Wound Needs a Witness” exploring what it means to be a performer in the Marvin Center Betts Theatre Monday night.
  • Busboys & Poets will host the School Without Walls‘ SWW Coffeehouse tonight. The coffeehouse features the students’ original material across a variety of mediums. Student artwork is also on display and some pieces are for sale. The event is free.
  • To promote the May 4 release of “Omni”, Minus the Bear will be performing at the 9:30 Club this Friday with Everest and Young the Giant. Tickets are $20.

And here’s some good [cute] news:

  • The Washington Post has a slideshow of a mother duck and her ducklings that were safely brought back to their pond by museum employees on the National Mall last week.
