If you passed through Kogan Plaza Thursday afternoon, you may have noticed the yellow albatrosses and pink jellyfish hanging from the trees.
The creatures make up the “Infiltrate”art installation, part of the Save My Oceans promotion tour for Disney’s new film “Oceans.” Planet Illogica, a company which publicizes independent artists, recruited an artist from Los Angeles to create the pieces, which are crafted entirely from plastic bottles found on college campuses.
Ken Goldstein, one of Planet Illogica’s founders, said at the event that GW was chosen for the exhibit because the school “impressed Planet Illogica with [its] sustainability efforts.” He has been touring with the pieces for the past month, traveling to eight different schools in order to raise awareness of their plastic consumption.
