State Radio, an alternative rock band from Massachusetts, will headline the 2010 Fountain Fling, Program Board confirmed on their Twitter page Wednesday night.
State Radio’s lead singer Chad Stokes Urmston is a former member of Dispatch. The band’s most recent album, “Let it Go,” was released in September of 2009 and their first album, “Us Against the Crown” was released in 2005. State Radio opened for Dave Matthews Band in 2008.
GW is one of seven stops on the Save My Oceans tour, which advocates against plastic pollution, overfishing, and global warming.
Fountain Fling will be held on April 24 from 3 to 8 p.m. on the Mount Vernon Campus quad. Last year, indie rock band Spoon headlined Fountain Fling.
