GW’s campus is host to a wide array of backgrounds. One can walk around campus and expect to hear multiple languages spoken by people of various ethnic groups. But though diversity exists, there is a perception that GW has a long way to go toward being truly inclusive. It is good that the University is tackling this issue preemptively. It seems all too often that progress on diversity only happens in the wake of controversy. Fortunately, this change is happening in the absence of such a storm.
