• Campus group The Vermilions are playing at the Black Cat Feb. 17. Tickets are $10.
• Today is Mardi Gras! Bars around the city are hosting events; check out Rumors’ “Boubon Street Bash” or the $2 drink specials at Red Derby. Or just head to McFadden’s.

And here’s some good news:

• MegaBus will begin D.C. to Philadelphia service March 21, according to the company’s Web site. The bus will make stops at Philly’s 30th Street Station and Independence Hall Visitors Center; the D.C. stop is at 10th and H streets NW.
