Every week The Hatchet will post an excerpt from its own “Bucket List” – things our staff thinks every student at GW should accomplish in the four years before they graduate. See if you can also cross them all off your list.
With a blizzard warning currently in effect, this week’s bucket list items can be crossed off without going far away from campus.
7. Lose your GWorld
Though it’s not the most exciting option on the bucket list, and not something people do on purpose, losing one’s GWorld is an essential occurrence to your time at school and it’s pretty inevitable. If you find yourself in this predicament you can get a replacement at the GWorld Card Office in suite 501 in the Marvin Center. Replacements are $25 each.
8. Get a Burger at Lindy’s
This restaurant remains a part of many alumni’s memories of GW. Lindy’s is located at 2040 I St. and is split into a take-out section downstairs and a sit-down bar up above. Both of the venues offer similar food options including their well-known selection of burgers. Burgers range from a regular hamburger to something all together different, like their Capitol Punishment burger that comes with green peppers, hot red peppers, and ground black pepper.
9. Visit the Monuments in the Snow
Though the usual bucket list item might have said “visit the monuments at night,” because of this week’s unusual weather it seems just as important to see the monuments all iced up. It may be a trek with the snow coming down, but if you bundle up and try not to skid on the icy streets, seeing Lincoln covered in white is a memory you won’t likely forget.
