It’s Monday…

Here are some things to look forward to:

  • Clubs around the city are holding concerts to raise funds for Haiti. Upcoming events include a benefit Jan. 19 at Marvin, featuring Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation, the “Funkin’ 4 Haiti” DJ show at Modern Jan. 24 and a Black Cat concert Feb. 6 that will feature local bands.
  • Make a note to plan a trip to Fairfax, Va. Feb. 6. Why? The town hosts a Chocolate Lovers Festival that weekend. That’s why.

And here’s some good news:

  • DCist has a great piece on D.C.  Roller Girls. It’s like the movie “Whip It!” only better and without the painfully hip soundtrack.
