It’s the first weekend back in the District for most GW students, and the weather has warmed up ever-so-slightly to accommodate for it. Fortunately, there are plenty of things happening on campus and off.
Foggy Bottom Fanfare:
- Tonight in Lisner Auditorium, GW Class Council, the Alumni Association and SAC will host “Represent,” a dance-off featuring GW Balance, Capital FunkĀ and other campus dance groups. The event is free for students; the show starts at 7 p.m.
- Go see the women’s basketball team defeat the Charlotte 49ers Jan. 16 at 2 p.m.
District must-dos:
- Swedish hip-hop/jazz group (and “Colbert Report” favorites) Movits will be playing at Iota Club and Cafe Jan. 15 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12.
- Start a new Saturday tradition with the progressive happy hour at the Gin & Tonic Tavern in Georgetown/Glover Park. Beginning at 5 p.m., beers are $1 and mixed drink are $2; prices rise each hour.
