The University announced Saturday that residence halls will remain open until 5 p.m. Monday for students stranded in D.C.
Seth Weinshel, director for GW Housing Programs, said about 1,000 students remain in residence halls, and that the deadline for vacating University housing was extended from noon on Sunday until Monday evening.
“GW has been and will continue to closely monitor the weather and will work with all students that are unable to leave based on transportation issues,” Weinshel said in an e-mail.
Weinshel said any student who believes they will be stuck in D.C. due to transportation issues past the Monday deadline should e-mail [email protected].
“We will continue to work with all students that reach out to us and will get back to them as soon we can on Monday,” Weinshel said.
