Just in time for that “Secret Santa” party with your roommates or Greek family this weekend, Target opened Friday in Georgetown, but will be staying only until Sunday night. According to a story in today’s Washington Post, the temporary establishment is part of a nationwide campaign in which the shop “pops-up” in urban areas for select periods of time.
“The idea is to generate excitement about our brand,” Joshua Thomas, a spokesman for the mega-franchise, said to the Post.
Target To-Go will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Long lines are expected in front of the shop, which is located at the corner of Wisconsin and M Streets.
