Editor’s note: ‘Fashionistas of the Week’ is a new, weekly series we hope to start next semester that takes a look at some of the fashion on campus.

Does fifty-degree weather stop the GW students from looking any less fashionable? Apparently not. Whether they are on their way to a class, or to Gelman for the rest of the day and night, skimping on style is not on the day’s agenda. We were able to spot a few Colonials who care just as much about their style as they do about their studies.
Jordana Korner, a sophomore from Demarest, N.J. was spotted wearing a cropped beige sweater from Topshop, black skinny jeans from Urban Outfitters and studded black flats from Michael Kors. She completed the look with a classic pair of Ray Ban’s. She describes her look as city chic, and always comfortable. Some of her fashion inspirations include Sienna Miller and Kate Moss.
Alex Sotolongo, a sophomore from Miami, Fla. is wearing Steve Madden herringbone sneakers, black skinny jeans from 7 Jeans, a black peacoat from H & M and a grey knit scarf. He describes his style as comfortable and stylish. He loves to shop at Barney’s Co-op and H & M. Alex gets his fashion inspiration from Johnny Depp.
Alex Kassirer, a freshman from Short Hills, N.J. is wearing brown suede boots from Enzo Angiolini, skinny jeans and a striped t-shirt from Urban Outfitters, a black blazer and a python bag. Alex describes her style as comfortable and trendy, she loves to take basic pieces and mix in cool accessories. She loves to shop at Urban and Bloomingdales. Alex gets her fashion inspiration from Sienna Miller.
You never know who you might run into, so why not look stylish while cruising around campus. If you’re lucky, we might spot you!
