It’s Monday…

We know today is particularly rough, as most of us are slowly readjusting to life in Foggy Bottom; but besides distracting yourself from looming finals by googling pictures of Twilight’s Taylor Lautner or making to-do lists that you should be checking off,  here are some things happening around the District that are worth looking forward to.

  • GW’s own Jukebox the Ghost announced via Facebook plans to record a new album. The group will also release their first album, “Let Live and Let Ghosts,” on vinyl in January.
  • Cafe Saint-Ex is hosting a horror movie night Nov. 30 from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.  The U Street restaurant will screen the classic flicks “Them” and “Re-Animator”; admission and popcorn are free. Who doesn’t love a good scare during the holidays?
  • Next time you’re on the Hill, flag down the Curbside Cupcakes truck and treat yourself to this trendy dessert. Curbside Cupcakes, a mobile company that sells individual cupcakes from its truck or delivers larger orders to Downtown and Capitol Hill locations, is the latest addition to the D.C. cupcake family.

And some good news:
