The Hatchet’s editorial board calls for the inclusion of a student on the search committee for the new provost position.

On Friday, GW announced that Mary Futrell, dean of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development, and Susan Phillips, dean of the School of Business, will step down from their positions on June 30, 2010. Combined with the search for a new provost, these announcements mean that GW will be looking to fill three important administrative positions this year. It is vital that the University include students on the search committees for new administrators.
