

The University quietly debuted a new face this summer.
While GW’s official licensing and trademark Web site still shows the old George trademark, the GW Spirit department has been showing off a new face. In the redesign, the old trademark’s aggressive sneer has been replaced by a stoic look of determination and colonial-era apparel.
The revamped George also has a new Twitter page. Trivia contests are occasionally held and winners receive T-shirts and other GW spirit items as prizes.
The University launched a new version of the mascot costume used at used at sporting and community events last year.
