Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor was treated at Medical Faculty Associates Monday after fracturing her ankle at LaGuardia Airport in New York, according to a statement from White House spokesman Ben LaBolt. MFA is a part of a The GW Medical Center.
Sotomayor, who suffered a “small fracture in her right ankle,” received x-rays before being released.
Sotomayor was traveling to D.C. for a series of meetings on Capitol Hill with Sens. Max Baucus, D-Mont., Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, Kay Hagan, D-N.C., Mary Landrieu, D-La., Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and David Vitter, R-La., as part of her nomination to the Supreme Court.
