Political commentator Bill Kristol spoke to a group of GW student leaders at Tonic Restaurant on Monday night in an off-the-record discussion about U.S.-Israel relations.
About 50 student leaders were invited to the private event hosted by GW Acting Politically for Israel (GAP).
Kristol, a conservative political analyst, is best known for his appearances on Fox News Channel and his former op-ed column in the New York Times. According to a press release issued by the GAP, Kristol discussed a broad range of issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, President Obama’s foreign policy and the current situation in Pakistan.
This is the first Student Leadership Dinner the GAP has hosted, though organizers said they intend to make it a bi-annual event. According to a press release issued by GAP, the next event will take place in the fall, and the speaker will be more liberal.
